NEET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2020 is prescribed by National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates must have to fulfil all the eligibility guidelines before fill the online application form.
Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 17 years as on 31st December 2020. Candidates below this age limit cannot apply for NEET 2020 Exam. There is no upper age limit to apply.

Nationality: Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India, Person with Indian origin are eligible to apply for NEET 2020 (UG).

Education Qualification: The candidates must have completed his/her 12th course from any recognised Board or Council with at least 50% marks (for UR), 45% marks (for PH) and 40% marks (for SC/ST/OBC) candidates in PCB group.

Required Subjects: Candidates must have the following subjects in their 12th Course – Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Biotechnology with English as a mandatory subject.

10+2 Appearing Students: Students who are currently studying in 10+2 course and will appear 2020 Bord Exam, can also apply for the NEET 2020 exam with some certain conditions.



Total Number of Seats granted

All India Medical Council (AIMC) granted total 75,893 seats for MBBS course and 26,693 seats for BDS course all over India. Students and took admission among these medical colleges there NEET rank.


NEET 2020: Application (Once a Year), Dates (Out), Eligibility, Syllabus

NEET 2019 official notification has been released. It will be conducted Once in a Year in Offline mode. National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the NEET exam.

NEET 2020 Application Form



  • Candidates will be able to fill NEET 2020 Application Form through online mode.
  • You can fill one application form only. Filling of more than one application form will lead to cancellation of forms.
  • The application form of NEET 2020 will be released from 2nd December 2019 by NTA.
  • Last date to fill application form will be till 31st December 2019.
  • Candidates must provide working phone number and email Id at the time of registration to get login credentials.
  • Candidates must submit recent passport size photograph & signature in the prescribed format to avoid rejection of images later.
  • There is no need to send the printout of application form to the board.

  • General & OBC Category: Rs.1400/-
  • SC/ST/PWD/Transgender Category: Rs.750/-

NEET 2020 Question Pattern

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the common entrance test conducted by NTA for Admission in MBBS and BDS courses. The NEET question paper also prepared by National Testing Agency (NTA). Here is some important information about this Exam.
  • National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is an Offline Pen-Paper based Exam.
  • There will be a total 180 questions from Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions) and Biology [Botany & Zoology] (90 questions) subjects.
  • The total time duration of the NTA NEET exam will be 3 hours.
  • Each question will carry 4 marks. So the total marks of NEET UG Exam are 720.
  • All the questions are MCQ type with for options with one single correct answer.
  • For every correct answer, students will get +4 marks and for every wrong answer students will get -1 marks. So, there is Negative Marking.
  • The question paper of NEET UG Exam will be in 11 languages. Candidates have to select his/her preferred language at the time of Online Registration. The available languages are – English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.

Syllabus for NEET 2020 Exam

Medical Council of India (MCI) prescribed a common format for NEET-UG Syllabus. Maximum questions will come from these topics. NEET Syllabus prepared on the basis of Class 11th &12th PCB syllabus. Here is an overview of this syllabus. You can easily understand the syllabus standard and important topics for NEET 2020 Examination.

Physics Syllabus: It will contain Laws of Motion, Electrostatic, Electromagnetic Waves, Electronic Devices, Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Properties of Bulk Matter, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, etc.

Chemistry Syllabus: Basic concept of chemistry, Equilibrium, Hydrogen, Electro Chemistry, Surface Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, p-Block Elements, etc.

Biology Syllabus: Human Physiology, Plant Physiology, Reproduction, Ecology & Environment, Cell Structure and Function, Diversity in the Living World, Biology and Human Welfare, etc.




NEET 2020 Admit Card Download

National Testing Agency will issue Admit Card / Hall Ticket for NEET-UG 2020 Exam. Candidates can download their admit card from ntaneet.nic.in the website by login with their Registration Number and Password. Examination related all the information will be mentioned on the admit card.

Date of the examination, Exam Centre, Roll Number, Date of Birth, Photograph, Signature and Language of the Question Paper etc will be available on the NEET Admit Card.

NTA will send any paper Admit Card through Post or courier. Candidates have to download their Admit Card from website only. NEET 2020 Admit Card will available from 27th March 2020 onwards from the official website.

If the candidate found anything wrong in his/her Admit Card, contact immediately to National Testing Agency for correction.




NEET Cutoff Percentile & Expected Cutoff Marks

The candidates will be selected and ranked on the basis of their score will obtain in NEET UG Entrance Test. The merit list of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test contains the name of the candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying marks in the examination.
The cutoff percentile in NEET remains the same in all the years but the cutoff score changes every year, as it depends on various factors like the number of students appearing in NEET, question difficulty level etc. The cutoff percentile and the expected cut off marks for NEET 2020 is given below.

How to prepare for NEET 2020 Exam

The NEET 2020 examination will be held on 3rd May 2020 all over India. Only a few months left on your hand. Start preparing for NTA NEET UG Exam 2020 for a good AIR and State rank.
  • Know the complete syllabus and understand every chapter.
  • Collect the previous year question paper and analysis them carefully try to understand the question pattern.
  • Make a complete study timetable and follow it strictly.

Setas Reservation Policy

Some certain percentage of seats reserved for various categories of candidates as per Government rules.
  • For OBC Candidates – 27% of seats are reserved.
  • For SC Candidates – 15% of seats are reserved.
  • For ST Candidates 7.5% of seats are reserved.
  • For Physically Handicapped (PH) candidates – 5% of seats are reserved.
Separate Category Merit Rank also be provided to these category students with All India Rank.

NEET 2020 Result

National Testing Agency will publish the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Result on 4th June 2020 on their official website, ntaneet.nic.in. Candidates have to log in to this website with their Application Number and Password and download the NEET 2020 Rank Card. This Rank Card will contain all the details about Candidate’s All India Rank (AIR), Category Rank (if any). Take printout the rank card for further use.

Will There be Age Limit for NEET 2020
– The matter is still in the court and final verdict regarding the same has not been taken yet.
– So will there is an age limit or not, will only be disclosed when the new information for NEET 2020 will be released.


Educational Qualification: 

Candidates can check below the minimum qualification needed to apply for NEET 2020 –
  • The students should have passed Class 12th or its equivalent examination, from a recognized board.
  • The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology at the qualifying examination.
  • The students who have taken biology as an additional subject in 10+2, can also apply for NEET 2020.
Minimum qualifying marks to appear for NEET 2020: UR – 50%, OBC/SC/ST – 40%, PWD – 45% (minimum aggregate marks only for PCB subjects).

Counselling Process for NEET UG Exam

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will organise complete Online counselling process for NEET 2020 entrance exam. The online counselling process for admission in MBBS and BDS course will start from the 2nd week of June 2020. The central counselling will be done for the 15% All India Quota seats. Remaining seats will be filled up by State Medical Counselling authority.
